Limited Global Warranty
First Transit products are carefully designed and tested to meet high standards of quality, durability, and performance. If a problem occurs with your First Transit product due to a manufacturing defect in material or workmanship, First Transit will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product in accordance with the terms of this warranty. This limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser or the person who received the product as a gift.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not apply to damage caused by misuse, improper handling, accidents, overloading, exposure to extreme conditions, abrasions, liquids, normal wear and tear, or damage during airline or transport handling. Any repairs or maintenance performed by unauthorized service providers may void this warranty. To ensure proper coverage, warranty services must be handled through authorized First Transit service channels.
First Transit is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, and any implied warranties are limited to the value of the product. Product locks are designed for basic security purposes only and may not prevent all forms of unauthorized access or damage during travel. Customers are advised to inspect their luggage immediately after travel and report any transit-related damage to the relevant carrier or airline before completing the journey process where possible.
This warranty provides specific legal rights, and customers may also have additional rights depending on local laws and regulations. The terms of this warranty may vary by region, and First Transit reserves the right to update product specifications and warranty conditions without prior notice.
Repair Policy
First Transit offers a warranty that covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. However, this warranty does not cover damage caused by airline or carrier handling, misuse, improper care, accidents, overloading, normal wear and tear, or repairs requested after the warranty period has ended.
For any warranty-related repair evaluation, the product must be inspected by an authorized First Transit repair center. Customers are responsible for any shipping costs incurred while sending the product to the repair center for assessment.
After evaluation, the authorized repair center will determine the condition of the product and provide one of the following outcomes:
- If the product has a manufacturing defect and is repairable under warranty, it will be repaired free of cost and returned to the customer.
- If the product is not repairable but is still covered under warranty, the customer may receive a replacement of similar value at no additional cost.
- If the product is repairable but not covered under warranty, the customer can choose to either have it repaired at their own expense or receive it back without repair.
- If the product is not repairable and not covered under warranty, the customer may request the item be returned in its current condition or choose to have it properly disposed of by the service center.
How to reset TSA Lock?
When you receive your First Transit suitcase, the TSA lock is usually set to the default combination 0-0-0. To open your luggage, simply align the dials to this code and slide the TSA lock to release the zippers.
To set your own personal combination, follow these simple steps:
- Locate the small reset button or pin hole near the lock dials. Use a pen or pointed object to gently press and hold it until you feel or hear a click.
- While holding the reset button, set your preferred 3-digit combination (for example, 2-5-8).
- Release the button to save your new combination and ensure the lock is properly set with the zippers in place.
To confirm your new code is working:
- Close the zipper heads back into the lock.
- Randomly change the dials to another number.
- Now set your chosen combination again and slide the TSA lock. If it opens smoothly, your new code is successfully set.
